Tour Day by Day

Day 1: Iringa
Our first day starts very early in the morning. We pick you up at your hotel in Arusha and are on the way to Iringa. Dinner and overnight will be at our accomodation in town.

Day 2: Ruaha NP
After breakfast we enter Ruaha National Park. Tanzania’s second largest park protects a vast tract of semi-arid bush country and the country’s largest population of elephants. Greater and lesser Kudus can be found here. These antelopes are a rare species, their population here is unique in East Africa. We will have a great day, wildlife is incredibly rich in Ruaha National Park. We will stay for dinner and overnight at the parks’ campsite.

Day 3: Ruaha NP & River
We have breakfast at the campsite and then go on a full-day game view at the park. We will explore the shores of Great Ruaha River. During the dry season when many small rivers dry out, Ruaha River is attracting thousands of animals. The Hippo and Crocodile pools there are an exciting sight and fun to watch. We stay at Ruaha River campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ruaha NP – Mikumi NP
We spend the morning game viewing at the park before departing to Mikumi National Park. We have lunch on our way and for dinner we will have arrived at our accomodatioin.

Day 5: Mikumu NP
After an early breakfast, we go for a magnificient morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. The main feature here are the Mkata Plains, huge flood plains dominated by open grasslands. Wildlife is abundant here, we will see elefants, buffalos, hippos and hopefully Monitor Lizards along the river. Our last game drive will be very rewarding. After lunch we will go back by car to Arusha, to your hotel.

You will have had an adventurous time in the wild, wild south of Tanzania and return home with precious memories and photos.
