Deep exploration of the northern circuit of Tanzania. View rich wildlife in Tarangire National Park, Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara. Hike at Ngorongoro Highlands, search for the bushmen at Lake Eyasi, enjoy bbq with the Maasai at Monduli Mountains.

Tour Day by Day

Day 1: Arusha
Meet upon arrival in Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to hotel in Arusha.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we drive by 4×4 vehicle to Tarangire. Full day game drive with a break for picnic lunch. The distinguished features of this park are the giant baobab trees, the large population of elephants and the big cats. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Optional Activities: Walking Safari in the surrounding conservation area

Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Full day in Tarangire, with morning and afternoon game drives. Hot lunch and dinner will be served at the lodge or campsite.

Optional Activities: Hot Air Balloon, night game drive

Day 4: Lake Natron
After breakfast we drive to Lake Natron, home of millions of lesser flamingos. Hot lunch will be served upon arrival. After few free hours relaxing at the camp, we go for an evening walk to the Munge waterfalls with optional swimming. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Day 5: Lake Natron
At midnight, (OPTIONAL) we drive to the base of the Oldonyo Lengai Mountain (Mt. of God) and start climbing to reach the crater summit in time for enjoying the sunrise. The slopes up to the top are quiet steep. The climbing takes roughly 10 hours up and down. The descend will be around 10:00am for brunch. Free leisure hours at the lodge or camp. At the afternoon, we visit the soda lake with the beautiful lesser flamingos. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Day 6: Serengeti NP – Lobo Area
After breakfast we leave for en-route game drive to the famous plains of Serengeti. At noon we stop at the lodge or campsite for lunch and rest. Evening game drive at Lobo area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Day 7: Serengeti NP – Seronera Area
Today we have full game drive to Seronera the centre of Serengeti in search of the big cats. Break with lunch boxes at a picnic site. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Optional Activities: Hot air balloon

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
We leave Serengeti for Ngorongoro with en route game drive. On our way optional visit to the Olduvai Gorge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Optional Activities: Archaeological tour on Olduvai Gorge, cultural tour to a Maasai Boma, walking in the conservation area

Day 9: Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast we hike up to the rim of the Olmoti Crater and visit the spectacular Munge waterfalls. We continue to Embulmbul depression following the cattle trails through forests and grasslands. The depression is a level hollow ground, with short grass where animals like buffalos, zebras and gazelles graze. On our way we visit the Maasai Bulati village. At the afternoon we drive back to the camp/loge at the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Eyasi
After early breakfast we drive down to the crater floor with lunch boxes for game drive. The spectacle is amazing. We enjoy our lunch at a pic nic site. Later we depart for Lake Eyasi for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Lake Eyasi
After an early breakfast, we search for the Bushmen -the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes- to spend the day with them watching them in their everyday life. Dinner and overnight at lodge or campsite.
Activities: Walking – Cultural Visit

Day 12: Lake Eyasi – Lake Manyara NP
We drive from Eyasi to Lake Manyara. After a rest with hot lunch at the lodge or camp we go for evening game drive at the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Optional Activities: Walking & Cultural tours on villages

Day 13: Lake Manyara NP – Monduli Mt
Morning game drive at Lake Manyara, famous for the unique behaviour of lions climbing on trees and a paradise for bird-lovers. In the afternoon we drive to Monduli Mountains to enjoy bbq with the Maasai around an open fire.

Day 14: Lake Manyara – Arusha
After breakfast you will walk to the Maasai Boma, visit the Maasai traditional medicine men, learn about their daily life, then later walk to Monduli Mountain. If the weather allows you will have the view of Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro in front of you. At the afternoon we drive back to the hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight or to Kilimanjaro International airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
