In addition to the obvious natural attractions Tanzania has to offer, the country's towns and cities make pleasant stops, such as Arusha and Moshi. Many of Tanzania's coastal cities where founded as port towns from which valuable goods were transported across the Indian Ocean by sailing dhow.

Arusha is a nice place to hang out
Arusha is one of the country's most attractive towns and the safari capital of the country. It's located in lush, green countryside at the foot of Mount Meru, very close to Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoys a temperate climate throughout the year. It's a nice town to walk around, you will find some nice places to eat and to hang out. In the evenings locals love to shoot pool in bars and there are some fantastic clubs with life music and DJs.

Located in the heartland of Tanzania, Dodoma is the nation's official political capital and the seat of government. Dar es Salaam is by far the largest city and the country's economic capital. It's bustling harbour is the main port in Tanzania, Dar es Salaam is well worth visiting.
