8 days hiking in a wonderful environment

Day 1     DEPARTING FOR NGORONGORO CRATER
At 9:30 we pick you up from your hotel and leave to Ngorongoro crater for game viewing.Here you will see many water birds,wildebeest,buffaloes,gazelles,vervet monkeys,black rhinos and many more predators. In the late afternoon drive to Simba campsite on top of the crater rim for dinner and overnight.
Day 2     NGORONGORO - NAINOKANOKA VILLAGE
After early breakfast drive to Nainokanoka village so that you can visit the wonderful Mange waterfalls before returning to the camp for dinner and overnight
Day 3     NAINOKANOKA VILLAGE - KAMNANA VILLAGE
Depart for Kamnana village in 5 - 6 hrs walk passing through Olmoti crater for sightseeing and walk through the Embulmbul depression following the cattle trails which pass through forests and grasslands.Your overnight camp is set in the bush(wilderness)some distance from the village
Day 4     KAMNANA VILLAGE - EMPAKAI CRATER
Early morning walking for 4 - 5 hours following the path which leads through open grassland area,bushland area and forests,gradually gaining height to the rim of Empakai crater.Then descending into the crater floor covered with dense equatorial forests,grass and a volcanic lake.Animals like buffaloes,reedbucks and different species of birds can be at close ranges during the walk around the lake.Overnight camp on the crater rim.
Day 5     EMPAKAI CRATER - NAIYOBI MAASAI VILLAGE
Depart for Naiyobi village in 5 - 7 hours climbing the crater rim descend on the north-western side.The trails lead to Naiyobi Maasai village which is reached late afternoon. The evening is spent relaxing or visiting the village school and also talking with the friendly local Maasai people. Overnight camp at the acacia trees forest near the village.
Day 6     NAIYOBI MAASAI VILLAGE - MOUWONGONI VILLAGE
Depart and walk for 5 - 8 hours following the dusty paths downhill and off the crater highlands to Mouwongoni Maasai village.Overnight camp at the edge of the village.
Day 7     MOUWONGONI VILLAGE - NGARASERO VILLAGE
Leave in the morning before sunrise for a walk of 6 - 9 hours following the winding path across volcanic rocks and dusty lava soil.The path rounding the north western floor of the active Mount Lengai crosses river Ngarasero to the nearby village.Camp is set near the river and a deep bath in the river is very refreshing and even more natural.Early morning our 4wheel transfer jeep will drive you to the foot of Mount Oldoinyo Lengai to start the trek to the peak(2878m) .
Day 8     LAKE NATRON - ARUSHA TOWN (6 - 7 HOURS DRIVE)
Descend from the Mountain at about 12:00 pm for lunch.Driving to Arusha town passing at Lake Natron for taking photos.Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
