Get to know Arusha by day and night

One of the country's most attractive cities
Arusha is located in lush, green countryside at the foot of Mount Meru, very close to Mount Kilimanjaro. The city has much to offer for visitors. Since you're a 'Mzungu' (as the locals name white people) it can be quite difficult to find your way through an African city. And if you don't speak Kisuahili the only way you will discover the city is by guided tour. It's well worth walking around here.

'Geneva of Africa'
Arusha, well known as the 'Geneva of Africa', is the site of the UN Criminal Tribunal on the Rwandan genocide and has gained more and more importance as headquarter of the East Africa Community (EAC). We'll show you the sites of diplomacy.

Shopping and local flair
Arusha is very lively. There is the big market for Lake Victoria fish, a gemstone market for the famous Tanzanite and the fascinating Kilombero market. We'll show you around. If you want to buy souvenirs, let's pass by some 'batiks' - workshops of artists and curio shops - where we are informed about the best prices.

East African Food
We'll end our tour in a local restaurant where we will enjoy African food. We'd like to introduce you to Ugali the national dish number one. We'll enjoy it together with Nyama Mchuzi or Kitimoto (beed or pork) and have a delicious and very typical local meal.

Arusha by night
We also offer a tour to experience nightlife in Arusha. Locals love to shoot pool in bars and there are some fantastic clubs with life music and DJs. People love to dance and there are always some young men making a big show on the dance floor to entertain and impress the watching crowd. East African musicians always catch the opportunity to perform in Arusha. Internationally awarded Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Reggae - a young musical scene has established in Arusha.
